My neighbor Wendy and I have always loved to give new life to old things, so we started a new small business together called Claremont Finders Keepers.  Working out of the studio in our shared duplex backyard, we started a little etsy shop.

And we partnered with our friend Lane from Urban Orchard Interiors to take our wares to the huge Alameda Point Antiques Faire in the Bay Area once every few months.

We did well, so when we found out about a store front vacancy in a great little area of Oakand called Temescal Alley, we took a leap of faith and opened our first shop:

Our name had to change, so we picked Walrus.
