Look Alikes VII

via
After I saw the above photo, I thought, This will be great for my Look Alikes series.  I think pinned a bedroom just like this.

And then I went to my built-ins pinboard and found this.

Anyone want to offer an explanation?

Update:  Traci Zeller of Traci Zeller Designs sent me an email.  "Mystery solved," she said.
Here's the link she gave.  Thanks for clearing up the confusion, Traci!

  1. Great minds think alike?

Someone sold the contents to another person?

    I'm very confused. ;-)

  2. There's a built-in at each end of the room. The wallpaper is the same, the floor is the same and the angled slope of the ceiling can be seen in the mirror of the first photo. I think the door is to the left of the metal chair in the first photo.

    I think it's a room for a boy-girl set of twins.

  3. Is it two ends of the same room? The wallpaper, flooring and curtains on the built-ins are the same. And the built-ins have the same details.

  4. This is a pair of built-in beds at either end of one room...am I right? So cool. I love this idea for children who are close in age.

  6. Steve beat me to the punch! Camille, did you notice that the big mirror is a twin to the one in my entryway?

  7. Good job Steve, spotting that angled ceiling in the mirror which seems to be a strong clue that this is not the same space, styled differently. At first I thought the door was hinged to the alcove or just placed in the corner as a prop, but if it is a true door, what a fun room for twins! I am always so drawn to beds in alcoves, although glad I don't have to change the linens!

  8. Besides the wallpaper, curtains, flooring, I also noticed they have the same blue metal shelf on top of the beds.

By the way, nice built-ins for the beds. I would love to have such a space when I was a kid.

  9. Looks like the same room? I really like the built ins and the whole feel of this children's room. How fun!

  10. Ok, so I'm obviously blind. I didn't even notice the wallpaper until someone else mentioned it. But, yeah seems like they are in the same room on opposite ends. A boy and a girl (twins?), hence the privacy draperies?

Why is it so much fun to match pictures up like this?! Simple pleasures... :)

  13. yep, looks like the same room but different ends! Love at built-in bed like these. I am planning that in my office slash guest room. It is still all in the planning stage but I think this makes for a great use of space in those awkward rooms with sloping ceilings.
BTW, I love that pinboard....I re-pinned the sailboat and built-in bookshelves image!!

  14. I was going to comment "color me confused!" but thanks to the savvy earlier commenters, I'm going to agree that it must be different ends of the same room. Love it! And love the idea for boy/girl twins! I may need to post this myself (with due credit to you, of course, for finding them) as a fabulous idea for twins!
