i have had my eye out for an old black dresser to make into a bathroom sink cabinet for the longest time now. it's hard to find the exact size i need but seeing these images will keep me on the hunt. thanks camille.
I agree!! I am always on the look for a darker/aged piece to add some balance and ground everything:) Take care, Caroline
haha great title! I am also down with the crustiness, I'm so glad you always seem to understand me Camille :)
I so agree. These pieces are gorgeous!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that is lusting after black lately!!! I tried to find an email for you so that I could work out a date for your to guest post for Design in Five (new series from yesterday) but couldn't find one? Can you email me? firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
I love a bit of crust in my life. Specially black crust! You inspired me for the next piece of furniture I am doing! Thanks.
Count me in on the black cabinets, loving them, totally agree on the white. Great taste as always xx
I especially love them in all-white rooms, like the bathroom above. They have a large presence and sense of history which I adore. Thanks for the comment yesterday! I am glad to have made a new friend.Anne
Not sure if you remember but I painted Grandpa Russel's world war II trunk black and painted the hinges gold but it was certainly crusty. I didn't have a spot for it so someone else has it now. But I do like the look!
I am SO with you! I have already pinned many of these. Thinking if the dark wood in my bath doesn't work out I could do some black paint and distressing!
Crusty?! You crack me up! Love these though!!!
So where is the photo of your black crusty chest!
I am with you on that one! Black furniture, crusty and old - so lovely!
Oh Lordy...I am in love with all of those pieces...what can I paint black!!!
I enjoy reading every comment.
